Resources

  • Hip Dysplasia USA Facebook Group is a great group of (mostly?) Moms whose children have/had hip dysplasia. Its supportive, helpful, encouraging and for every question you might have there is likely to be someone on it who has gone through the experience.

  • STEPS Charity UK is a not-for-profit group that has lots of useful information about hip dysplasia. The really nice thing about this site is its list of online videos of parents looking after babies and toddlers in a spica cast. You can also subscribe to their YouTube channel.

We personally own A Parents' Guide to Hip Dysplasia by Betsy Miller. The HipDysplasia.org site has a great list of additional resources.

HipDysplasia.org is a sort of Web MD of Hip Dysplasia - very useful scientific information that is layperson-friendly.

Other Mommy Blogs ...

http://hipjournal.blogspot.com/ by Johanna Gambach Roche (another Mommy of a toddler whose DDH was detected late)

https://makaylasjourney.wordpress.com by Kerri Theriault - baby diagnosed with bilateral hip dysplasia at almost 3 months old
